FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gainesville, GA December 14, 2016. – Liberty Utilities announced plans for a new 17,300 square foot service center in Gainesville, Georgia at a groundbreaking ceremony. The facility will house Customer Service, Billing & Collections, Operations, Engineering & Compliance, Regulatory and Business Development personnel.
Located at the intersection of Cleveland Highway and Limestone Parkway, the facility will significantly improve access for customers with entry points on both of these major arteries. The new facility includes a separate 7,000 square foot service building housing construction equipment, vehicles and natural gas system supplies.
The main facility will include a welcoming lobby for customers who want to make payments or needing assistance from our team of local customer service representatives. Additionally, the facility includes a training room, multiple conference rooms, a testing lab and an employee break room. The facility will utilize a natural gas-powered generator to ensure continuous operations in all types of weather.
The facility was designed by Georgia-based Hussey Gay Bell architects and is being built by Carroll Daniel Construction Company. An onsite compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling facility will be installed to provide for the fueling needs of Liberty’s CNG-powered fleet of vehicles.
“Liberty’s growth in recent years has led to the need for larger facilities to provide our employees with a productive environment as well as ensure our customers have ease of access to our customer care teams,” commented Liberty Utilities-GA president, Chuck Rossi. “The Gainesville and Hall County communities have experienced state-leading growth and expansion in recent years and we believe this new facility positions Liberty to support continued growth well into the future.”
Since the acquisition of the natural gas system on April 1, 2013, Liberty has doubled its workforce in Gainesville from 13 to a current level of 26. “This increase was driven by Liberty’s business model of providing local customer service as well as housing the state’s Billing & Collections, Regulatory and Business Development functions”, Rossi said. In addition, four contract employees also work from the current service center located on John W Morrow, Jr. Parkway.
The projected completion date for the new facility is July of 2017.
